In the port of Rijeka is a hotel of a special kind, the "Botel Marina" is. As the name suggests, is a ship that has been converted to a luxury hotel. The ship was built in 1936 in Denmark and wrong for 33 years between Scandinavian ports. First, under the name "Crown Princess Ingrid", since 1963 it bears its current name "Marina". From 1969 to 2005, the ship Mali Lošinj associated with Zadar, Silba Unije, Pula, Koper and Venice. Although the "Marina" was no longer used for passenger transport, it was in 2007 as "the oldest ship in the world with the authorization for passenger transportation"! In 2013 the marina was completely reconstructed and is now the first "Botel" in Croatia. Within walking distance of pedestrian area, market, shops, museums and the moorings of the Riva fleet, the Botel Marina is not only suitable for a stopover before or after a cruise from Rijeka, but also for longer stays, when the city and its exploring attractions or the surrounding area.
Facilities: Reception, luggage storage, restaurant, lounge, bar, TV room, laundry, parking (for a fee; about 6 € / day; reservation required), WiFi internet (free), Internet corner.
35 Rooms: modern and comfortably furnished, all rooms have air conditioning, heating, reading lights, internet access, porthole and shower / WC. In addition to single and double rooms also 3- and 4-bed rooms and dormitory rooms with bunk beds for 4 to 6 people are available.
